Scandinavian Rosettes go by many names in other areas of the world including Chinese Pretzels (Tong Wan), Bunuelos, Ahappams (Achu Murukku / Kerala Style), Sopapillas, and Fried Dough. One thing we know is that they are universally delicious! They are cookie-like pastries that are deep-fried and commonly have the edges dipped in frosting or sugar. To make a batch of your own, attach this rosette iron to a handle and heat in hot oil. The mold must be seasoned before use to ensure the easiest release.  Dip the hot rosette iron into the batter and put it back in the hot oil until a crisp shell is created. Voila!

Dove iron

Bought this rosette iron shape for my grandson’s Baptism party. It worked well and my daughter loved the airy fried cookies for the celebration!

This is a beautiful set. The dove is so precious. The handle is great because its just long enough where you don't feel heat when making the bunuelos. These came out delicious and beautiful. This would make a great gift set!
